About the position

The Entertainment Operations Stage Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of one or two show venues at Universal Orlando Resort. This role focuses on promoting positive guest experiences by ensuring that both talent and technical aspects of the venues operate at optimal performance levels. The position requires effective communication with management and staff, as well as adherence to company policies and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and evaluate all talent and administrative staff for the assigned venue(s).
  • Train new employees assigned to the venue and assess employee performance annually and quarterly.
  • Represent the Entertainment Department as Manager on Duty for all entertainment venues in the assigned park, addressing issues and communicating with management.
  • Communicate necessary operational information to upper management and venue employees.
  • Complete all administrative duties accurately and timely, including scheduling, payroll, and budgetary functions.
  • Administer company policies and handle employee relations issues for the assigned venue(s).
  • Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school degree or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 1+ years previous supervisory/managerial experience preferred.
  • 6 months+ experience in the professional entertainment or theme park industry required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
