About the position

The Entertainment & Programming Coordinator for Independent Living (IL) and Assisted Living (AL) at Spectrum Retirement Communities is responsible for creating and leading engaging programs that enhance the quality of life for residents. This role involves planning, coordinating, and implementing a variety of activities and events that cater to the diverse interests of the residents, ensuring a balanced program calendar that includes cultural, intellectual, spiritual, social, physical, and recreational opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall support to the department in planning, coordinating, and implementing adult-centric activities and events.
• Assist in the development of the monthly program calendar to ensure a balanced offering of activities.
• Procure groups, organizations, and individuals to perform for or instruct the residents.
• Encourage resident participation in activities through positive relationships and personalized interactions.
• Assist the Director, Entertainment & Programming in providing medical transportation to residents.
• Facilitate innovative outings and excursions for residents.
• Assist residents in entering and exiting community vehicles.

Requirements

• Previous relevant experience as a Programming Coordinator (Activities) preferred, but not required.
• Proficient in the use of Internet resources and current technology.
• Valid driver's license and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• At least 21 years of age with 3 years of driving experience.
