About the position

The Entry Civil Engineer position at Insight Global involves performing engineering tasks in the site-civil engineering field, focusing on design and project management in various counties and the District of Columbia. Responsibilities

• Design all aspects of engineering projects including layout, grading, earthwork, storm drain, septic, sanitary sewer, water, storm water management, and erosion/sediment control.
• Perform field investigations to determine existing conditions.
• Prepare agency design submission packages for agency reviews and approvals.
• Participate with permitting and the completion of as-constructed/as-built drawings.
• Interpret and apply all applicable federal, state and/or local codes.
• Draft technical specifications.
• Occasionally travel to project/client sites to complete tasks or attend meetings.

Requirements

• Experience designing civil engineering projects for private and public customers.
• At least 2 years of AutoCAD Civil 3D experience in site-civil engineering.
• Ability to pass a Civil 3D test during the interview.
