About the position

The position involves installation, troubleshooting, repairing, and programming of security systems including Burglar Alarms, CCTV, DVRs, and Access Control Systems for residential customers. The role requires hands-on field interaction with customers and includes converting older systems to new ones. The candidate will receive training and is expected to work overtime for a period to address a backlog of service tickets.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and program Burglar Alarms, CCTV (IP & Analog), DVRs, and Access Control Systems for residential customers.
• Convert older systems to new systems.
• Work with window breaks, door units, and smoke detectors.
• Troubleshoot signal issues to ensure proper alarm functionality.
• Perform daily hands-on field interaction with customers at the site level.
• Test and verify signals for equipment.
• Train customers on using the equipment and connecting to devices.

Requirements

• Previous field experience in cabling, wiring, or residential installations.
• Customer service skills and reliability.
• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of wiring and cabling.
• Experience with electrical wiring and low voltage electronics.
