To be eligible for the Year Up program, applicants must be between 18-29 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED, be eligible to work in the U.S., and be available Monday through Friday throughout the program duration. Candidates should be highly motivated to learn technical and professional skills and must not have obtained a Bachelor's degree. Participants will gain valuable professional business and communication skills, including interviewing and networking skills, resume building, and ongoing support to help launch their careers. Some coursework may also be eligible for college credit. During the internship phase, students earn an educational stipend of $525 per week, providing financial support as they gain practical experience. The program covers various in-depth classes, including Application Development & Support, Business Fundamentals, Customer Success, Helpdesk/Desktop Support, Investment Operations, and Banking & Customer Success. With an impressive 80% of Year Up graduates either employed or enrolled in postsecondary education within four months of graduation, the program significantly enhances career prospects. Graduates can expect an average starting salary of $53,000 per year, making Year Up a valuable stepping stone towards a successful professional career.
