About the position

Year Up is a one-year or less, intensive job training program that provides young adults with in-classroom skill development, access to internships and/or job placement services, and personalized coaching and mentorship. The program combines technical and professional training with access to internships and job placement support through our industry-leading talent placement firm YUPRO Placement. Participants in the Year Up program also receive an educational stipend, which is crucial for supporting their learning journey. The program is designed for individuals aged 18-29 who are motivated to learn and grow in their professional careers. Eligible candidates must be high school graduates or GED recipients, legally allowed to work in the U.S., and available Monday through Friday throughout the duration of the program. Importantly, candidates should not have obtained a Bachelor's degree, ensuring that the program serves those who may not have had the opportunity to pursue higher education. During the internship phase, Year Up students earn an educational stipend of $525 per week, which helps them focus on their training without the burden of financial stress. The curriculum includes in-depth classes in various fields such as Application Development & Support, Data Analytics, Helpdesk/Desktop Support, Project Management Support, and Banking & Customer Success. Graduates of the program gain essential professional business and communication skills, interviewing and networking skills, and resume building techniques, all of which are vital for launching a successful career. With a strong emphasis on practical experience, 80% of Year Up graduates are employed and/or enrolled in postsecondary education within four months of graduation. Employed graduates report an average starting salary of $53,000 per year, showcasing the program's effectiveness in preparing young adults for the workforce.
