About the position

As an Entry-Level Architectural Designer at Barry Wehmiller Companies Inc, you will join a dynamic team within a fully integrated architecture, engineering, and consulting firm. This role is designed for recent graduates or those with relevant experience who are eager to contribute to capital projects and develop architectural design solutions for various facilities. You will work closely with seasoned professionals and have the opportunity to grow into a registered architect while making a meaningful impact on client projects.

Responsibilities

• Support capital projects and implement solutions for clients.
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and electrical engineers under the direction of registered architects.
• Create architectural design solutions for manufacturing, distribution, industrial, and commercial facilities.
• Define facility program requirements and conduct code research specific to project sites.
• Create floor plans, code summaries, scoping documents, and renderings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or an equivalent degree from an ABET accredited institution.
• Co-Op/internship, part-time or full-time employment, or project experience related to engineering, consulting, facility design, construction management, drafting, or architecture.
• Solid computer skills including Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word (academic or professional).
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Demonstrated leadership or participation in campus/community service activities.
• Experience in the design of facilities for food/beverage, pharma/life science, or consumer products for manufacturing and distribution.
