The Associate Member Relationship Specialist (Teller 1) provides exceptional face-to-face member service in our branch locations. This position is ideal for individuals who are warm, caring, friendly, and passionate about providing excellent service. The role promises career development and is focused on giving back to the community. Position hours vary between 8:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday through Friday and 8:30 am - 2:30 pm Saturday.

  • Provides exceptional member service using Service Standards in every work-related interaction.
  • Actively participates in meeting the goals of the department and the Credit Union.
  • Uses a positive and professional tone to assist members and team members accurately and efficiently while maintaining friendly service.
  • Completes tasks on time and manages multiple competing priorities successfully.
  • Assists members with routine transactions and service requests, including positively identifying individuals, negotiating checks, receiving deposits, and card services.
  • Assists with member research and problem resolution.
  • Accurately completes member service requests with attention to data accuracy, policies, procedures, cash management, and branch safety/security routines.
  • Works within given limits and authority; proactively seeks supervisory assistance as needed.
  • Promotes credit union products and services and actively refers members to credit union partners as appropriate.
  • Conceptualizes and proactively solves problems in pursuit of exemplary service to members, teammates, and the organization.
  • Demonstrates the attitude, aptitude, and ability to learn quickly and efficiently while showing assertiveness in personal development.
  • Completes all learning events and academies on schedule, effectively communicating with mentors and leaders to achieve learning objectives.
  • Participates in organizational projects and promotions; develops thorough knowledge of credit union products, services, rates, and partnerships.
  • Suggests and participates in credit union community service opportunities and events.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC) and complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor to achieve the goals of the department and the Credit Union.
  • Warm, caring, and friendly demeanor with a passion for providing excellent service.
  • Interest in learning how to open financial memberships and assist with loan requests.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional tone in all interactions.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Experience in customer service or financial services is a plus.
  • Interest in financial education and community service.
