About the position

The Entry Level Autism Aide position at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) involves working directly with children with autism to implement behavior treatment plans and support their development. This part-time role is designed for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and their families, providing a supportive and engaging environment for both clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with children with Autism, making an impactful change.
• Implement evidence-based behavior treatment plans, teaching social, communication, and life skills.
• Collaborate with and learn from top clinical minds in the field.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds while assisting patients.
• Negative tuberculosis test.
• English proficiency, both verbal and written, is required.
• US Work Authorization.

• Experience as a Nanny, Babysitter, Preschool Teacher, Montessori Guide, Tutor, Substitute Teacher, Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), Mental Health/Autism Advocate, Behavioral Health Technicians, Paraprofessionals, Direct Support Professionals, Camp Counselor, Childcare Volunteer, Sunday School Teacher, After School Programs, or a related field.
• Working towards or completed a degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Sociology, Human Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
