About the position

The Entry Level Autism Support Professional role at Action Behavior Centers involves providing one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with Autism. The position focuses on early intervention therapy in a center-based setting, helping children aged 18 months to 8 years reach their full potential. The role includes data collection, implementing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a dedicated team to ensure high-quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Applying the principles of one-on-one ABA therapy to help children with Autism reach their full potential.
  • Providing early intervention therapy in a center-based setting.
  • Collecting data and implementing individualized treatment plans for each child.
  • Creating a safe and enjoyable environment for children.
  • Engaging with children at their eye level to facilitate positive interactions.
  • Maintaining tidy and organized play areas.
  • Actively participating in play and fostering a joyful atmosphere.
  • Supporting neighboring centers when needed.

Requirements

  • Valid QMHP Certification license (preferred).
  • Valid RBT Certification (preferred).
  • Experience in childcare (preferred).
  • A passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families.
  • Reliable transportation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience as a Childcare Provider, Nanny, Babysitter, or Preschool Teacher.
  • Background in Mental Health/Autism Advocacy or as a Behavioral Health Technician.
  • Degree in Teaching, Special Education, Sociology, Human Development, Early Childhood Development, or Psychology.
