Your primary responsibility will be to reinforce positive behaviors using therapeutic techniques that you will learn through our industry-leading training program. Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with children with autism in a center or home-based setting.
- Reinforce positive behavior utilizing therapeutic techniques learned in training.
- Track client progress and growth by keeping electronic health data on a company-provided iPad.
Requirements
- A passion for making a difference in the lives of children and families impacted by autism.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Willingness to learn and comfort navigating tablet technology.
- Access to reliable transportation for commuting to various locations.
- Schedule flexibility to conduct sessions at times needed by clients' families.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience as a camp counselor, nanny, preschool teacher, paraprofessional, teacher's aide, or childcare volunteer.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others.
- Good judgment when responding to different situations common among clients.
- Effective and compassionate communication skills when interacting with children and caregivers.
