About the position
The Entry Level BIM Specialist/Coordinator position at Actalent is designed for individuals with 0-2 years of experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM). The role primarily supports engineers by setting up BIM drawings for a variety of projects, including laboratories, healthcare facilities, and government secure facilities. The position starts in-office for the first 3-6 months, with potential for a hybrid or fully remote setup thereafter. Proficiency in Revit is essential, and familiarity with Navisworks and clash detection processes is also required.
Responsibilities
- Support engineers by setting up BIM drawings for various projects.
- Run clash detections and coordinate BIM processes.
- Test add-ons and workflows.
- Develop new BIM standards.
- Work on projects including laboratories, clean rooms, animal labs, hotels, healthcare facilities, offices, schools, restaurants, multi-family, and government secure facilities.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience in Revit/BIM.
- Familiarity with BIM coordination and Navisworks.
- Ability to run clash detections.
- US citizenship and ability to pass a federal drug and background check.
- Willingness and ability to obtain a security clearance.
Nice-to-haves
- No degree required.
- Background in MEP, Mechanical Contractor, or General Contractor roles.
- Experience in mechanical design, CAD, and 3D modeling.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
