About the position
The BIM Specialist role is designed for individuals with 0-2 years of experience to support the engineering team in various projects. The position focuses on BIM coordination, including setting up BIM drawings, running clash detections, and developing new BIM standards. The initial phase of the job will be in-office, transitioning to a hybrid or fully remote setup after 3-6 months, depending on the candidate's performance and company needs.
Responsibilities
- Support engineers by setting up BIM drawings for various projects.
- Run clash detections and coordinate BIM processes.
- Test add-ons and workflows.
- Develop new BIM standards.
- Work on projects including laboratories, clean rooms, animal labs, hotels, healthcare facilities, offices, schools, restaurants, multi-family, and government secure facilities.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience in Revit/BIM.
- Familiarity with BIM coordination and Navisworks.
- Ability to run clash detections.
- US citizenship and ability to pass a federal drug and background check.
- Willingness and ability to obtain a security clearance.
Nice-to-haves
- No degree required.
- Background in MEP, Mechanical Contractor, or General Contractor roles.
- Experience in mechanical design, CAD, and 3D modeling.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
