About the position

The Project Manager role in the Compliance & Custody Change Management team at Acara Solutions involves managing medium to large projects through the project development life cycle. This entry-level position is ideal for recent Finance graduates looking to start their professional careers in the Investment Banking industry. The role requires collaboration with various business units and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution, adherence to project management standards, and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Manage medium to large projects or segments of larger projects through the project development life cycle.
• Work closely with sponsors and Systems counterparts to define project scope, develop project plans, and manage project budgets.
• Execute project tasks, mitigate project risks, resolve issues, and manage resources to meet project goals.
• Lead a team of subject matter experts, analysts, and other participants to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide project updates and communicate effectively with project sponsors and stakeholders.
• Coach and provide performance feedback for project team members.
• Define scope, planning, budgeting, and controlling all project tasks, resources, and deliverables.
• Ensure adherence to strong project execution methodology standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review business cases, business requirements, functional specifications, and implementation plans.
• Communicate project expectations to project members and stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Track and resolve business issues throughout the life of the project.
• Ensure thorough testing of all system changes, including user acceptance testing and regression testing.
• Prepare and present Change Oversight materials and project dashboards.
• Assist the Program Manager in providing project and portfolio status reporting to senior leadership.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and provide consistent updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in project management, business case development, planning, and issues management.

Nice-to-haves

• Financial Services Industry experience and knowledge of Custody operations.
• Demonstrated understanding of project management principles, tools, and techniques.
• Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies/delivery approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task.
