Benchmark Lab is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Chemist to join their team in Houston, TX. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with a foundational understanding of chemistry, providing an opportunity to apply knowledge in a practical laboratory setting. The successful candidate will support various analytical projects, ensure quality control, and contribute to research and development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine laboratory analyses using techniques such as spectroscopy (ICP, UV, MS), gas chromatography, and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
• Perform wet chemistry experiments and maintain accurate records of all procedures and results.
• Assist in the development and validation of analytical methods in compliance with CGMP and GLP standards.
• Utilize spectrophotometers and other laboratory equipment to analyze samples and ensure quality control measures are met.
• Collaborate with senior chemists to troubleshoot experimental issues and optimize processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress, share findings, and contribute ideas for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field is required.
• Familiarity with analytical chemistry techniques, including spectroscopy, gas chromatography, HPLC, and wet chemistry is preferred.
• Experience working in a laboratory setting is advantageous but not mandatory; internships or academic projects will be considered.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Effective communication skills to convey technical information clearly.
