We are looking for an Entry Level Engineer to join our Industrial Commercial Energy (ICE) Team to improve infrastructure in our Northern Michigan offices. This position is ideal for candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and have zero to three years of experience in the field. The role offers a flexible hybrid-remote work schedule after 30 days of employment, allowing for a balance between in-office and remote work. As an Entry Level Engineer, you will be involved in various site development projects, which include commercial, institutional, and residential plans from concept through construction. Your responsibilities will encompass site planning, site grading, site balancing, storm water design, and the horizontal and vertical design of underground utilities. You will also be tasked with obtaining jurisdictional approvals and permits, as well as preparing design reports and construction plans in accordance with local and state standards. In addition to design work, you will prepare preliminary project cost estimates, evaluate quantities, assist with reviewing the scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks, and monitor task budgets and progress. On-site observations may be required, and you will maintain multiple project assignments while verifying field survey notes. You will also prepare project status reports, assist Project Managers, and attend various meetings including client progress, plan review, and pre-construction meetings. Continuous learning is encouraged, and you may attend seminars and training classes to enhance your skills. Maintaining excellent client relations and a safe working environment is essential in this role.
