POWER Engineers is currently seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join our team supporting the electrical utility and renewable energy service areas. Our department specializes in high-performing projects with a focus on the future. Our goal is to deliver excellent projects together with a positive experience for our clients and our communities alike. This position will be based in our Rocky Mount, VA office with the ability to work remotely within a 3-hour drive to the office location. Employees may travel to a POWER office for periodic meetings. In this role, you will be assisting senior designers and engineers in all aspects of civil engineering and site design. Typical projects include utilities and municipal infrastructure and site work for buildings and facilities. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, producing construction drawings, specifications, estimates, bills of material, and other engineering design deliverables. Candidates for this position should have strong spatial reasoning skills, the ability to work in design teams, be self-motivated to perform assigned tasks, and take initiative to learn new skills, and work with layouts in a 3D environment. Further, the candidate should be willing and able to learn new software packages efficiently and retain and apply on-the-job training.
