About the position

Carollo Engineers is seeking an Entry Level Civil/Environmental Engineer to join their Oklahoma City office. This role involves planning, designing, and constructing water and wastewater facilities, contributing to meaningful projects for local and regional municipalities. Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering work in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure.
  • Work on engineering planning and design projects.
  • Prepare reports.
  • Develop plans and specifications.
  • Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects.
  • Conduct system modeling.
  • Provide permitting and alternative analysis.
  • Prepare technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables.
  • Perform data entry and analysis.
  • Provide engineering services during construction.
  • Participate in field activities such as pilot testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Minimum academic requirements include coursework in physical, chemical, and biological processes; hydraulics; and principles of water and wastewater treatment plant and infrastructure design.
  • 0 to 4 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering.
  • Engineer-in-Training Certification.
  • Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Familiarity with computer applications including ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and water and sewer hydraulic calculations/modeling software (WaterGEMS, InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM, InfoSWMM).
