About the position

The Entry-Level Civil/Structural Engineer will work within the Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Line Department at POWER Engineers in Freeport, Maine. This role involves participating in the design of transmission lines, including new constructions, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions. The position offers an opportunity to engage in meaningful projects that positively impact society and the environment while receiving support for career advancement.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design of new transmission lines and upgrades.
• Assist in the relocation of existing transmission lines.
• Contribute to the addition of fiber optic components to transmission lines.
• Collaborate with internal team members and external clients to ensure effective communication and project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office software suite.
• Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

• Coursework in structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design, and surveying.
• Previous engineering design or drafting experience, particularly in civil or structural engineering.
• Engineer In Training (EIT) registration.
