About The Position

As an entry-level Claims Adjuster at American National, you will serve as the front-line representative for the Property and Casualty auto claims department. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting thorough investigations to determine fault in accidents, negotiating settlements, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This role requires effective communication and a commitment to customer service.

Requirements

• Actively hold or willingness to obtain appropriate state adjuster license (fees covered by American National).
• Prior work experience in Customer Service, Insurance, Healthcare, Clerical/Office, Investigation, Legal/Paralegal, Law enforcement, Processing, or Call center positions.

Responsibilities

• Determine proper coverage and maintain proper reserves for claims.
• Draft professional written correspondence regarding various aspects of the claim.
• Conduct detailed phone investigations to determine liability and damages.
• Obtain recorded statements and review police reports for thorough follow-up.
• Determine suitable methods of inspection and assign estimates and vendors.
• Negotiate loss settlements based on the review of facts.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and company standards.
