About the position
Join our team as a CNC Mill Operator, responsible for manufacturing cylinder heads for recreational airplanes. This entry-level position involves handling and lifting cylinder heads, grinding and deburring parts, measuring and inspecting components, documenting work and defects, and operating CNC mills. Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined and comfortable with hand tools, grinders, and measurement instruments.
Responsibilities
- Lift and handle cylinder heads (20-30 pounds) throughout the day.
- Grind and debur parts between flanges.
- Measure and inspect parts using micrometers and calipers.
- Document work and defects on computer and traveler.
- Operate various CNC mills (no setup required).
- Use hand tools, grinders, and measurement tools effectively.
Requirements
- Experience with hand tools and grinders.
- Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers.
- Experience in CNC operation and machine operation.
- Ability to read and work with blueprints.
