About the position

The Entry-Level Data Center Technician role involves assisting in the construction and installation of IT cabling infrastructure for a large data center. Technicians will work under the guidance of experienced team members to learn essential skills in cabling, installation, and safety protocols while contributing to the overall project.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with running, terminating, and installing IT cabling (Cat5, Cat6, Coaxial, and Fiber Optics)
  • Install grounding for server racks, equipment, and cable as required.
  • Perform fire-stopping procedures on firewalls, install sleeves, and on low-voltage devices
  • Terminate low-voltage devices and IT hardware (Cameras, servers, switches, etc.)
  • Follow blueprints precisely to ensure the work is being carried out correctly
  • Fully complete all paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers, and others as required)
  • Adhere to and participate in all company, customer, and industry quality and safety standards and regulations
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
