About the position

The Draftsman position is an entry-level role focused on collaborating with engineers and designers to create and modify design drawings and blueprints using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. The role involves both teamwork and independent project work, ensuring that client specifications are met through detailed modeling and rendering.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with engineers, draftsmen, and designers to review blueprints and design drawings.
• Inputting design specifications into the SolidWorks software.
• Creating surface and solid models according to client specifications.
• Working with a design team and individually on projects.
• Reviewing models with the client and making minor adjustments.
• Conducting final model rendering and delivering the final product.
• Completing job reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or design is preferred.
• SolidWorks experience is required.
• Advanced knowledge of SolidWorks software.
• Ability to read and translate blueprints and technical drawings.
• Basic understanding of building design and mechanical processes.
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually on projects.
• A keen eye for detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Strong communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Marine or RV furniture manufacturing is preferred.
