About the position
The Entry Level Early Intervention Autism Specialist role at Action Behavior Centers focuses on providing one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with Autism, helping them reach their full potential. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about working with children and looking to start a career in ABA therapy, with comprehensive training and certification support provided.
Responsibilities
- Applying the principles of one-on-one ABA therapy to help children with Autism.
- Providing early intervention therapy in a center-based setting.
- Collecting data and implementing individualized treatment plans for each child.
- Collaborating with a team dedicated to the core values of the organization.
- Creating a safe and enjoyable environment for children.
- Engaging with children at their eye level to facilitate positive interactions.
- Maintaining tidy and organized play areas.
- Actively participating in play and fostering a joyful atmosphere.
- Supporting neighboring centers when needed.
Requirements
- Valid QMHP Certification license (preferred).
- Valid RBT Certification (preferred).
- Experience in childcare (preferred).
- A passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience as a Childcare Provider, Nanny, Babysitter, or Preschool Teacher.
- Background in Mental Health/Autism Advocacy or as a Behavioral Health Technician.
- Degree in Teaching, Special Education, Sociology, Human Development, Early Childhood Development, or Psychology.
