At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery, and cutting-edge manufacturing. We are seeking an Entry Level Electrical Aviation Engineer to join our dynamic and experienced team. This role will support aviation projects at general aviation and commercial airfields, focusing on quality and performance in a collaborative team environment. The position supports our New England aviation practice but offers opportunities to work on projects nationwide. Projects may include airfield lighting improvements, navigational aid installations, and terminal improvements for aviation clients. As an Electrical Engineering professional, you will perform various tasks related to aviation projects, including interfacing with clients, subconsultants, contractors, and other outside agencies under the supervision of senior engineering staff. You will conceptualize the initial electrical design approach for airfield improvements and continue through the design phase as part of a design team. Utilizing AutoCAD and electrical engineering theories, you will execute project tasks, plan and conduct work requiring evaluation and selection of standard techniques, and resolve complex engineering problems. Coordination with other design disciplines will be essential to expedite construction and ensure a comprehensive understanding of operations on the airfield. In addition to design responsibilities, you will consult with project managers on unusual problems, manage change requests, participate in contract bidding and administration, and observe project construction on-site as a resident engineer during the New England construction season. This role requires a self-starter who is responsible for producing quality work products, delegating tasks, and striving for professional growth.
