Dewberry has an opportunity for an Entry Level Electrical Engineer to join a growing group of professional engineers in our Raleigh, NC office. This position is ideal for recent graduates or those with limited experience who are eager to develop their skills in the field of electrical engineering. The role involves designing building electrical distribution systems, which includes low voltage, power, lighting, and lighting controls, as well as fire alarm systems. A strong technical background is essential, along with a commitment to excellence in design, attention to detail, and quality control. Responsibilities

  • Design building electrical distribution systems including low voltage, power, lighting, and lighting controls.
  • Prepare electrical engineering calculations, reports, construction drawings, specifications, project schedules, and cost estimates to meet project requirements.
  • Coordinate the work of multiple disciplines to ensure project success.
  • Communicate effectively within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering required.
  • 0-2 years of experience in electrical engineering or related field.
  • EIT (Engineer in Training) certification preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD; Revit preferred, and good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel required.
  • Valid Driver's License.
