About the position

As an Entry Level Electrical Engineer at DLR Group, you will participate in the design process of electrical systems for the Renewable Energy division, contributing to projects that aim to reduce carbon footprints and promote clean energy. This role involves preparing detailed engineering drawings, performing design calculations, and coordinating with various stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.
• Develop electrical designs from concept through completion of construction.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
• Coordinate electrical design requirements with other disciplines and project stakeholders of renewable energy projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (ABET accredited) in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous internship, co-op experience, or full-time position with a consulting engineering or A/E firm.
• Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam.
• Experience with BIM (e.g. Autodesk Revit MEP) workflow.
• Interest in renewable energy design, including photovoltaic (PV) systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS), EV charging stations, solar canopies, microgrids, and specialty energy systems.
• Lighting and/or low voltage design experience.
