Responsibilities

• Perform design basis safety analysis for nuclear reactors, focusing on non-LOCA transients.
• Develop and assess models for predicting two-phase flow and heat transfer phenomena.
• Conduct nuclear reactor safety analysis and develop methodologies for design basis accidents.
• Perform reload safety evaluations for each plant cycle.
• Understand plant-specific licensing basis and analyses of record.
• Act as the point of contact for plant-specific non-LOCA or containment analysis inquiries from internal and external customers.
• Evaluate impacts of plant modifications and operating changes on design analysis.
• Participate in project teams and communicate project status to the responsible project manager.

Requirements

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Nuclear Engineering required.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Ability to apply fundamental engineering principles.
• Concise and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to independently establish and implement personal goals and action plans.
• Ability to work seamlessly with remote teams through various communication styles.
• Interest in software programming and code development is a benefit.
