Kleinfelder's Environmental team is looking for you! From environmental planning, permitting, remediation, and site characterization to chemical data management and hydrogeology, Kleinfelder offers a variety of services designed to provide technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions. The Hamilton (Trenton) NJ office has an immediate opening for a position at their Linden, NJ project for an Environmental Scientist, Environmental Engineer, or Geologist with 0 to 2 years of experience to work on environmental assessment and remediation projects. You will be part of a highly experienced team that enjoys mentoring and training new staff. In this role, your initial job duty will be to collect field data, including ground water, soil, sediment, and surface water. You will also oversee subcontractors once trained in the tasks being performed and evaluate field data. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the environmental field while working on large and complex environmental assessment and remediation sites.

Requirements

  • 4 year degree in environmental science, geology, or related engineering degree.
  • 0-2 years experience in the environmental field working on a large complex environmental assessment/remediation site.
  • Ability to work on various tasks depending on skill sets, including ground water sampling, soil sampling, well installation, project recovery, remedial system operation and maintenance, construction management, design, various remedial actions, ecological evaluations, data evaluation, and report writing.
  • Must pass a nine-panel, split specimen drug screen and a breath alcohol test as part of the medical surveillance physical exams.
  • Staff must be clean shaven to ensure satisfactory seal of a respirator.
