Harvey Waste & Recycling is seeking an entry-level Heavy Equipment Operator to join their team in New Bedford, MA. The role focuses on operating heavy machinery safely while ensuring the cleanliness of the work environment and providing excellent service to customers. Responsibilities

• Operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers, wheel loaders, and excavators.
• Performing manual labor including paper picking and keeping the yard clean and presentable.
• Managing traffic in the work area.
• Promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Interacting with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine safe and environmentally sound solutions to service issues.
• Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2A Hoisting License or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
