About the position

The Entry-Level Instructional Designer will collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and convert technical and safety courses into web-based training (WBT) formats. This role involves utilizing established Instructional System Design (ISD) processes and various software tools to create engaging and effective training materials.

Responsibilities

• Consult with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to access sensitive information such as Bulk Electric System (BES) Diagrams and equipment descriptions.
• Develop courses using established ISD processes.
• Create or convert existing technical and safety courses into Web-based Training (WBT) courses using Toolbook and Adobe Captivate.
• Provide subject matter expertise for special projects, assisting partner organizations with training-related efforts.
• Create WBT testing/quizzes to record and report scores using Toolbook, Captivate, or current WBT course development software.
• Encode HTML script to quiz pages to ensure compatibility with HRMIS.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Educational Design, Education Training and Development, or a related field is desirable.
• 1 year of experience as an Instructional System Development (ISD) Designer, Training Specialist, or Course Developer.
