About the position
The Entry-Level Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer position at Jacobs is designed for recent graduates eager to contribute to advanced manufacturing projects. This role involves working on diverse engineering tasks that support various industries, including consumer goods and electric vehicles. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring technical quality and adherence to project schedules while collaborating with a multi-discipline team to design control systems and provide on-site assistance during project startup.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks.
- Provide on-site assistance during startup.
- Coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead.
- Develop P&IDs and specify process instrumentation and valves.
- Design DCS and PLC based systems.
- Design networking for control systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
- Engineering in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous relevant design internship experience.
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers, AutoCAD and/or Revit.
