The role involves a combination of sales and customer support, with comprehensive paid training provided to assist trainees in obtaining their State Property/Casualty and Life and Health Licenses. Trainees will work under the direct guidance of an Agent or Lead Sales Agent, assisting customers, completing marketing activities, and supporting various office functions. Once licensed, the individual will be responsible for the profitable growth of the business by marketing and servicing Direct Auto products, including Auto, Life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance, to both new and existing customers. This position also involves monitoring local market competitors and suggesting initiatives to enhance Direct Auto's market position, along with handling sales administration and reporting activities. The role is designed for those who are eager to grow their sales career within one of the fastest-growing auto insurers in the country. Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with general inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Complete marketing and sales-related activities to promote the Direct Auto brand in the local market.
  • Handle inbound and outbound phone calls, manage reports, and maintain the overall appearance of the sales office.
  • Receive customer payments, issue receipts, and verify daily reports of cash drawers.
  • Participate in training activities and job shadowing to prepare for becoming a licensed agent.
  • Market Direct Auto products to new and existing customers through various channels, including marketing calls and visits.
  • Monitor key competitors in the local market and suggest initiatives to improve Direct Auto's market position.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals through new product sales, cross-selling, and customer retention.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and develop customer relationships.
  • Experience or willingness to develop key relationships within community organizations and the local business community.
  • Valid U.S. State-issued driver's license.
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Highly motivated to market and sell in a multi-product environment where cross-selling and customer retention are essential.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to acquire Property/Casualty license within 90 days of hire for trainees.
  • Active Property/Casualty and Life Insurance licensure for agents.
