About the position

Tom Hoch Design (THD) is seeking an entry-level detail-oriented Architectural Designer to join their dynamic design team. Founded in 1963, THD specializes in luxury retail, hospitality, and residential design globally. The role involves creating technical drawings for various commercial and residential projects, requiring a passion for design and the ability to work on multiple scales of projects within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Lead Designer on various design projects.
• Assist with creating and revising design drawings.
• Support senior designers in developing presentations.
• Produce 3D sketches and renderings.
• Assist in selecting finishes, furniture, and other design elements.
• Create and manage quotes for design projects.
• Contribute to the creation of construction drawings and specifications.
• Communicate with material sample and furniture representatives.
• Document and distribute project meeting notes and minutes.
• Organize project files, binders, and maintain records.
• Coordinate with design staff for seamless project execution.
• Participate in occasional site visits, overnight travel, and overtime as needed.
• Update weekly project schedules and projections.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design (preferred).
• Proficiency in industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Excel, Power Point, and Photoshop.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple tasks.
• Communication skills and a team player attitude.
• A passion for interior design and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work within time constraints.
• Willingness to travel and work occasional overtime to fulfill project requirements.
