About the position

Dewberry is seeking an energetic Entry Level Interior Designer to join their Elmhurst, IL office. The role involves working under the supervision of the Interior Design Department Manager and collaborating with Project Architects or Project Designers. The ideal candidate will have a Design degree, some experience in building design, and a proactive approach to translating design intent into drawings. This position offers exposure to the full design process and the opportunity to work on innovative projects.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of the Interior Design Department Manager.
• Receive additional direction from a Project Architect or Project Designer.
• Translate design intent into drawings.
• Organize the materials library.
• Meet with industry representatives.
• Communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
• Collaborate with team members on design projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Interior Design from an accredited university required.
• 0-3 years of experience in interior design or related field.
• Strong design skills and a desire to develop technical expertise.
• Proficient in REVIT, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.
• Rendering abilities and graphic experience, including Photoshop, are a plus.
• LEED AP certification is a plus, with knowledge of sustainable design principles.
