About the position

Dewberry is seeking an energetic Entry Level Interior Designer to join their Elmhurst, IL office. This role is designed for recent graduates who have completed their Design degree and are looking to start their career in the building design field. The position offers the opportunity to work under the supervision of experienced professionals and gain exposure to the full design process while contributing to innovative projects.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of the Interior Design Department Manager and receive direction from a Project Architect or Project Designer.
• Translate design intent into drawings with a proactive approach.
• Organize the materials library and meet with industry representatives.
• Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, and collaborate with team members.
• Formulate, research, and ask pertinent questions related to design and technical challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Interior Design from an accredited university required.
• 0-3 years of experience in the field.
• Strong design skills and a desire to develop technical expertise.
• Proficiency in REVIT, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.
• Rendering abilities, graphic experience, and knowledge of Photoshop are a plus.
• LEED AP certification is a plus, with an expectation of knowledge in sustainable design principles.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the building design field is a plus.
• Started NCIDQ with a future goal of registration.
