About the position

We are seeking a self-motivated individual to join our IT team as an Entry-Level IT Support/Junior Systems Administrator. In this position, you will provide basic IT support for staff, assisting with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity. You will assist in maintaining and updating documentation for systems, processes, and procedures. Responding to service requests in a timely manner and ensuring follow-through on assigned tasks will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will collaborate with senior IT staff to ensure systems are operating smoothly, learning new technologies and systems as needed. Additionally, you will handle user account management tasks such as setting up new users and managing passwords, and participate in maintaining the security of IT systems, following established guidelines.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of computer systems is essential.
  • Experience in customer service, technical fields, or startups is a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues and learn new systems quickly.
  • A positive, self-driven attitude with a willingness to ask for help and guidance when needed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing excellent support to end users.
  • High attention to detail, follow-through, and a commitment to completing tasks.
  • Trustworthiness with time management, capable of balancing multiple tasks efficiently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and basic networking concepts.
  • Experience working with ticketing systems or helpdesk software.
  • Basic understanding of security best practices and user account management.
  • Interest in pursuing further certifications to enhance technical expertise.
  • IT certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar) or SysAdmin-related certifications are a plus.
