About the position

As an Entry Level IT Support Technician, you will be part of a dedicated team of IT professionals responsible for providing in-house technical support for PC hardware and software to over 1300 associates. Your primary role will involve responding to user calls and trouble reports, as well as personally visiting associates to troubleshoot and resolve various technical issues. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of equipment and challenges, including Linux and Windows servers, desktops, laptops, network connectivity, and software-related problems. You will also have the chance to engage with our state-of-the-art data center, enhancing your technical skills and experience. In addition to your daily responsibilities, you will be assigned special projects that will allow you to research new technologies and tackle more complex problems. We are looking for individuals who are responsible, dependable, and committed to building a long-term career in IT support. The ideal candidate will be a goal-driven team player with strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail, ensuring that our associates receive the best possible support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-house technical support for PC hardware and software to over 1300 associates.
  • Respond to user calls and trouble reports.
  • Visit associates personally to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Work with Linux and Windows servers, desktops, laptops, and network connectivity.
  • Engage with software issues and support our data center operations.
  • Participate in special projects to research new technology and solve complex problems.

Requirements

  • 2 year IT degree or equivalent experience
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire to take advantage of training and learning opportunities
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Independent, self-starting attitude
  • A+ Certification is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with PC operations is preferred.
