About the position

A well-known client in Columbia, SC is looking to add a Customer Support Specialist to their IT Team. This position consists of installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining simple to moderately complex customer hardware and software. The role is essential in providing technical support and ensuring that the IT services run smoothly. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing phone coverage for the IT Services Helpdesk, which includes imaging, data entry, and equipment setup. Additionally, the specialist will assist in the day-to-day operations of the IT ticketing system, ensuring the timely resolution of trouble tickets and service requests. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. To thrive in this role, the applicant must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with office staff. The position is full-time, with an expected work schedule of 37.5 hours per week, primarily during the day shift from Monday to Friday. On-the-job training will be provided to help the new hire acclimate to the responsibilities and tools used within the IT department. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with relevant experience in customer service and help desk support being highly preferred.
