About the position
The Quality Technician role at Actalent involves testing finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, including factors such as acid, salt, pH, and sulfites. The technician will perform inspections, audits, and resolve any issues related to product quality while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quality assurance/control paperwork.
- Comply with GMPs, safety and quality standards, food safety measures, OSHA, and other safety regulations.
- Test finished products for acid, salt, pH, and sulfites.
- Perform metal detection and inspect fill weights, drained weights, defects, and abnormal colors or flavors.
- Ensure coding is correct on packaging and cases.
- Perform audits and resolve all issues related to product quality.
Requirements
- Degree in the Sciences (Biology, Environmental Science, Agriculture, Food Science, Biochemistry, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to uphold quality standards and hold manufacturing accountable to those standards.
- 1+ years of experience in Quality.
- 1+ years of GMP and FDA/USDA experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous Food Manufacturing or HACCP/Food Safety Experience is a plus.
