About the position

VHB is seeking an Entry-level Landscape Designer/Architect to join their Planning + Design practice in Watertown, MA. This role involves working on a variety of projects for both public and private sector clients in the New England area. The position offers opportunities for professional growth and development within a collaborative and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with multi-disciplinary project teams to assist in developing site design from concept through construction.
• Prepare graphics for design development, presentations, and public process materials, including sketch-up models, concept plans, and diagrams.
• Assist in producing construction documents, including layout and material plans, grading, planting plans, and technical specifications.
• Assist in preparing estimates of probable construction costs.
• Conduct construction site visits and plant tagging.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture.
• 0-1 years of directly related professional landscape architecture experience from design through construction preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (LandFX preferred), Sketch-up, Photoshop, InDesign, LumionPro, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong graphic skills and ability to organize and present ideas.
• Ability to handle assignments from multiple project managers.
• Public speaking skills.
