About the position

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking entry-level Lube Technicians who are eager to start their automotive careers. As a Lube Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all customer vehicles are serviced properly while adhering to company procedures and policies. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that every customer is treated with the utmost courtesy at all times. This position is set in a fast-paced retail environment where you will apply your technical aptitude to change oil and perform minor vehicle maintenance. In addition to performing oil changes, you will be responsible for washing windshields, adjusting tire pressure, inspecting and topping off fluids according to manufacturers' recommendations, and assisting customers in selecting the appropriate oil type and services. You will also process payments for services performed, perform coolant exchanges, and assist the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager during opening and closing procedures. Maintaining shop cleanliness and awareness of car conditions will also be part of your daily tasks. Responsibilities

  • Wash Windshield and Adjust Tire Pressure
  • Inspect and top off fluids according to manufacturers' recommendations
  • Retrieve and add oil
  • Drain motor oil, change oil filter, grease chassis fittings
  • Assist the customer in selecting oil type and other services, process payment for services performed
  • Perform coolant exchanges
  • Assist the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager during the opening and closing procedures
  • Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor
  • Maintain shop cleanliness
  • Awareness of car conditions

Requirements

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Outgoing and positive attitude
  • Motivated, energetic, and customer-focused
  • Basic computer skills
  • Automotive repair experience (1 year preferred)
  • Customer service experience (1 year preferred)
