Responsibilities

• Designing process/facility systems including process cooling/heating systems, exhaust systems, waste streams, hydronic systems, and mechanical/process piping systems.
• Assisting in producing engineering drawings for the installation of process equipment and systems according to client standards.
• Performing field inspections of existing systems and conducting on-site field walks for design verification.
• Technical writing to update team members on new designs and technologies that enhance safety and process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or closely related fields.
• Experience with design drawings, word processing, and spreadsheets (AutoCAD or Revit and MS Office).
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), analytical skills, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to be on-site every day if necessary, living within a commutable distance to the client site in Boise, ID.

Nice-to-haves

• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Previous internship experience in construction or industrial/manufacturing facility design.
• Familiarity with US Engineering Codes and Best Practices.
