About the position

The Entry Level Personal Care Assistant (PCA) position at BAYADA Home Health Care involves providing essential support to clients in their daily activities. This role is designed for individuals with minimal or no caregiving experience, offering paid training and flexible scheduling to promote work-life balance. The PCA will engage in one-on-one caregiving, ensuring clients receive personalized attention and care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, and eating.
• Perform range of motion exercises and other physical activities as needed.
• Manage home tasks including laundry, meal preparation, and bed making.
• Assist clients with ambulation and transfers using appropriate techniques.
• Provide medication assistance as required.
• Utilize mechanical lifting devices, with training provided if necessary.

Requirements

• 1 year of previous work experience in a related field.
• Completion of a comprehensive HHA training program available for those without experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in caregiving or healthcare is a plus.
