Entry Level Phlebotomist-Customer Service

About the position

The American Red Cross is seeking individuals to join their team as phlebotomists, where they will utilize healthcare and customer service skills to assist in the blood collection process. This role involves collaborating with team members to create a welcoming environment for donors, ensuring safety procedures are followed, and contributing to a meaningful mission of saving lives. Responsibilities

• Connect personally with donors and help them understand the impact of their donations.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for volunteer donors.
• Ensure attention to detail to meet blood collection goals and regulatory requirements.
• Drive Red Cross vehicles and assist in setting up and tearing down equipment at donation sites.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights and adapt to long hours is required.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications are required.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.)
• Prior leadership experience.
