About The Position

The role involves working as a plasma donor screener and performing phlebotomy to support the operations of a plasma donation center. The position emphasizes customer service and quality, with responsibilities including donor interaction, screening, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays, to ensure donor safety and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer or patient-facing role.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
  • Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
  • Ability to lift up to 5 lbs. regularly, with occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
  • Prolonged glove wear due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones and greet donors, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Screen new and repeat donors, taking and recording vital signs and finger stick results.
  • Utilize the Donor Information System to prepare donor charts and maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate donor compensation and ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, to support center operations.
