About the position

Mead & Hunt is seeking an Entry Level Process Controls Engineer to join their EPC Group in West Allis, WI. This role involves working on instrumentation and controls design, PLC and HMI programming, and participating in field testing and commissioning of systems designed and constructed by the firm. The position offers an opportunity to engage with various engineering tasks and travel to client facilities for controls engineering-related activities.

Responsibilities

• Instrumentation and controls design
• PLC and HMI programming
• Design of control panels and power/control electrical systems
• Participate in field testing including I/O verification and operational readiness testing
• Commissioning and training for startup services of designed systems
• Travel to client facilities for controls engineering tasks

Requirements

• B.S. degree in engineering or related field from an accredited college or university
• Strong academic credentials
• Intern or co-op experience
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent personal and academic references
• Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
• Experience with human machine interface (HMI) development
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience in construction or engineering consulting
• Experience utilizing advanced computer skills in networking, troubleshooting, and programming

Benefits

• Salary range of $70,000 to $85,000 based on experience and skill set
