About the position

Olin Chlor Alkali Products and Vinyls, a division of Olin Corporation, is seeking an Entry Level Procurement Professional to join their team at the Katy, TX manufacturing site. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to start their careers in procurement and logistics. The successful candidate will work closely with Strategic Sourcing Specialists to execute competitive bid events and manage various sourcing projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring that Olin maintains its commitment to excellence through effective supplier management and procurement strategies. As an Entry Level Procurement Professional, you will assist in investigating and qualifying suppliers, identifying potential suppliers, and issuing Requests for Proposals (RFPs). You will also be responsible for tracking and reporting supplier performance issues, providing support across all procurement categories, and preparing materials and presentations that reflect Procurement's cost-reduction initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Strategic Sourcing Specialists in executing competitive bid events and other sourcing projects.
  • Investigate and qualify suppliers; identify potential suppliers and issue Request for Proposal (RFP).
  • Assist with the tracking and reporting of supplier performance issues.
  • Provide support across all procurement categories.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials and presentations reflecting Procurement's cost-reduction initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or a business-related field, must be completed by May 2025.
  • Overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (documentation required).
  • Prior Olin experience in a related role.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and work in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Ability and willingness to relocate within Olin to other locations in the Southeast, Gulf Coast, West Coast, or Northeast.
  • Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
