About the position
As an Entry Level Maintenance Repair Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing dependable maintenance and repair services to our residents and customers. You will be responsible for assisting and performing various maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, painting, carpentry, and some janitorial duties. The role will primarily involve working in a residential setting, specifically on a 175-unit site. You will assist in residential painting projects, perform apartment turnovers, and handle tasks such as painting interior and exterior walls, drywall installation, and door lock installation. Additionally, you will be responsible for basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs or installations, as well as changing HVAC filters and performing janitorial duties. Your ability to troubleshoot and repair using basic knowledge will be essential, and you will be expected to interpret maintenance work orders and utilize time clock applications effectively. Customer service is a key component of this role, as you will be interacting with residents while performing technical duties. Responsibilities
- Assist in residential painting projects
- Perform apartment turnovers, including painting interior and exterior walls, drywall installation, and door lock installation
- Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs or installations
- Change HVAC roof and in-unit filters
- Support and assist in all maintenance repair activities
- Utilize basic knowledge to troubleshoot and repair
- Interpret and understand maintenance work orders and time clock apps
- Provide excellent customer service while performing technical duties
Requirements
- Proficiency in English for effective communication
- Basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry knowledge is preferred but training is available
- Willingness to work under supervision and follow instructions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- 1 year of maintenance experience is required
- Valid Driver's License is preferred
