About the position

The Community Solar Sales Manager will lead a team of sales professionals in promoting sustainable energy solutions by subscribing residential and small business customers to local community solar farms. This role is crucial in driving sales, fostering community relationships, and contributing to the reduction of carbon footprints in the Chicago area.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of sales representatives, providing coaching and mentorship.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local communities and businesses.
  • Monitor and analyze sales metrics, tracking performance and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction by the sales representatives.
  • Generate regular reports on team performance and sales activities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales management with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide a team.
  • Passion for clean energy and commitment to sustainability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the solar energy industry is a plus.
